Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
