Hollywood Icon Robert Redford Dies at the Age of 89
Acclaimed performer Robert Redford, known for iconic roles in films like Out of Africa, has passed away at 89 years old.
A statement confirmed that the Oscar-winning actor left this world on the 16th of September at his property in the mountains of Utah, family.
Redford was also a film legend, but the force behind of the prestigious indie film event.
He received an Oscar for his direction in 1980 for the drama Ordinary People and revealed his exit from performing in the year 2018.
Throughout his remarkable career, Redford starred in classics such as Indecent Proposal.
Even though the film Butch Cassidy turned him into a star, he often expressed reservations with being seen as solely a leading man.
“He is deeply mourned,” his representative noted. “His loved ones requests privacy now.”
