England Coach Southee Unsure on Ashes Participation

England's bowling consultant Tim Southee is currently evaluating what his involvement will be during the upcoming Ashes series in Australia.
The ex- Kiwi pace bowler is expected to be present for the opening match due to his participation in the International League T20 tournament, which begins on December 2 in the United Arab Emirates.
The 36-year-old, 36, assumed a position as the English team's pace bowling advisor in the summer after taking 391 wickets in 107 Test matches for New Zealand.
Commenting as England's squad for the opening of three Twenty20 games against the Kiwis was named, Southee stated of his availability: "We're still working through the situation at the moment.
"We'll see what happens over the next little while."
England pace icon Broad had declared the Australian team as their "weakest squad since 2010", but the consultant was in little doubt over what to expect during the contest, which begins on 21 November.
"In my view there's at any time a poor Australian cricket team," he said.
"Our focus is firmly on what we're trying to do. I think the quality of [the English] side that's heading out to the host country is excellent.
"It should be an absolute cracker, the Ashes. Not only [are|do] English and Australian people eagerly anticipate it, I believe the whole cricket world is."
But, prior to England travel to the city of Perth for the first Ashes match, they take on the Kiwis in Christchurch on Saturday.
